Buckwild and beaming, Mehdi Cayenne is a journeyman, truly unclassifiable on the Canadian scene.<\/div>\r\n

With a palette mixing pop and alternative sounds, he has -through four LPs “Luminata” in 2011, “Na Na Boo Boo” in 2013,\r\n
“Aube” in 2015 <\/span>and \u201cRadio Batata\u201d in 2019 <\/span>– developed his eclectic <\/span>approach<\/span>, earning awards and rave reviews. <\/span>He<\/span>\u2019<\/span>s acquired a palpable stage presence with performances across Canada, and in France, <\/span>Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Armenia and Russia, playing with diverse artists (Sam Roberts <\/span>Band, A Tribe Called Red, Saul Williams, Socalled, Random Recipe, Safia Nolin, US Girls) on <\/span>big stages all over (POP Montreal, Francos de Montr<\/span>\u00e9<\/span>al, Ottawa Bluesfest, MaMA). <\/span>\u201cRadio Batata\u201d was co-produced with Olivier Fairfield (Fet Nat), Mark Lawson (Arcade Fire, <\/span>Colin Stetson), and Nico Qu\u00e9r\u00e9 (Arctic Monkeys, Nick Cave); it has accumulated thousands of <\/span>rotations on SiriusXM, CBC Radio 3, and Stingray, reaching the Top 5 on Stingray\u2019s \u201cFranco At<\/span>titude\u201d.<\/span><\/div>\r\n
